The Mix is a four-story environmentally designed building dedicated to commercial offices and loft apartments. The building was the first mixed-used infill project in San Luis Obispo, CA.

Abbott | Reed supervised demolition of a gas station to prepare for construction of the new development. The team ensured soil testing and solutions were determined quickly to minimize any impact on the ambitious building timeline. Project leaders developed details for a freestanding masonry elevator tower unlike any in the city. Unique overhead doors were installed with care in every residential loft.

The Mix @ Monterey received a 2010 Award of Merit, AIA California Central Coast Chapter.
