SLO Brew is a local landmark; the popular restaurant and entertainment venue in San Luis Obispo, CA is one of the only venues in town to host live music.

Abbott | Reed managed the retrofit of SLO Brew’s new home in the downtown Carissa building into a full service brewery, pub, restaurant and concert hall with a mezzanine level featuring an intimate lounge, office space, and a mechanical room.

The team effectively collaborated with five stakeholders to meet the unique needs of the project – from the owner and designer to the architect, restaurant manager, and brew master. From day one, clear communication was essential to complete the complex undertaking.

Originally none of the existing structure could support new equipment, so the team developed solutions to hold up stage lighting and speakers. Not to mention, since this is a downtown project, all materials also had to be hand-delivered on site.

Abbott | Reed effectively overcame each of these hurdles to ensure the job was finalized on time to the fantastic applause of music lovers across the community.
